Is Real Estate Investing For You?

We don’t think there is a single person out there who has not considered Real Estate as an investment vehicle but it can often be an overwhelming and daunting prospect. Perhaps you have listened to podcasts, read a few books and lost days of your life researching articles on the internet you may still feel no closer to making any progress.

We know this can be frustrating, we know this because we have been there. Getting started is often the most challenging step but we have helped many families take the first step and change the direction of their families.

So if you want to get started or need help scaling then you need to leverage the experience and knowledge of others to achieve the best possible results. If you have been waiting to get started and want to connect then please reach out.

Start Now

Its like planting a tree….. The best time was yesterday, the second best time is today. Make the choice today and you will be surprised how quickly your investment will grow.

Find A Trusted Operator

All investments have risks, so do your homework and pick a trusted operator with a proven track record. Don’t be afraid to ask questions and ask for evidence of previous results.

Start With Just $50k

Many people think you need large amounts of money to get started but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Investments start as low as $50k (sometimes lower!) and can be cash, self-directed IRA’s or many other methods.

Our Partners

We are extremely proud to partner with the following organizations who help us in our mission to care for those most vulnerable in our community. We strongly believe that we can do good work in the community in a profitable way and make a win-win for everyone involved. We are always looking for new partners in the community who we can support in making the world a better place.

Housing Authority City Of Austin

The Housing Authority of the City of Austin (HACA) is breaking ground with a bold new initiative to preserve public housing in Austin and improve the lives of more than 4,300 Austinites who rely on that public housing.

Travis County Housing Authority

The Housing Authority of Travis County (HATC) provides safe, decent, and sanitary housing for low-income families in Travis County.

Salvation Army

We provide immediate assistance to victims of domestic violence and put them on the path to independence at this 24-hour shelter specifically designed for women and children escaping domestic abuse. The center provides everything from health referrals, counseling, and transportation to GED certification programs, parenting classes, employment assistance, and permanent housing placement. We also offer children a nurturing environment in a therapeutic preschool program. The location of the facility is kept private for the safety of our clients.

Oxford Houses Of Texas

Oxford Houses of Texas, established in 1990, is a state-wide network of addiction recovery homes chartered by Oxford House, Inc., the 501c3 umbrella corporation. Each Oxford House operates democratically, pays its own bills, and expels any member who returns to drinking alcohol or using drugs. Large houses are rented and located in nice neighborhoods giving anywhere from 6 to 15 same-gender individuals a safe, supportive place to call home. The success of Oxford House is well documented and has resulted in the inclusion of the Oxford House Model into the SAMSHA National Registry of Evidence Based Programs and Practices (NREPP).

Taylor Housing Authority

The Taylor Housing Authority (THA) was established to provide affordable housing for families within the Taylor community. THA receives funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Functions of HUD include, but are not limited to establishing policies and procedures, ensuring public housing agencies comply with the code of federal regulations, and provide funding through subsidies.

Empty Bowls Project

The Dripping Springs Empty Bowls Project has evolved over the past two decades to become the largest annual fundraiser for Helping Hands.  The benefit accounts for more than 60% of Helping Hands annual budget.

How To Invest With Us

The majority of our projects allow for qualified accredited investors to join us. Typically we purchase new properties in its own LLC and will determine the structure of the LLC on a deal by deal basis. This allows us to bring on passive investors who want to get started in Real Estate and take advantage of the wealth growth and tax savings possible. Investors will also share in cash flow and profits at the sale/exit.

Copper Dog Properties will handle the process of identifying the property, performing the due diligence required and securing financing with any loan guarantees required. We will then perform monthly/quarterly updates on the property to give progress reports. Our program is designed to be hands off for our investors throughout the process so is perfect for those who live a busy life.

While we are constantly underwriting new deals we always want to connect first to establish a relationship and understand more about each other.  Above all else we want to be long term partners.

In order to get started you must be an accredited investor.

Our Team & Contact

Copper Dog Properties was the creation of Scott & Hailey MacDonald. We like to call Austin, TX home but travel across the country in search of great investment opportunities. When we are not investing we spend time as a family with our children Shelby & Jack.

We started our real estate journey with a single rental property by accident in 2016. We grew that portfolio to nearly 100 single family homes in Austin

(arguably one of the hottest markets in the country) before transitioning to large multi-family and commercial properties allowing us to scale faster.

The S.E.C requires a pre-existing relationship prior to sharing some investment opportunities. Lets book a call and get connected.
